Jenny Rowan steps down as Trust Chair

Founder of the Kapiti US Marines Trust, Jenny Rowan recently resigned as Chair of the Trust after eight years in the role.  Ms Rowan founded the Trust in 2010, while serving as Mayor of Kapiti. She will be replaced by the Deputy Chair, Richard Benge, who has also served on the Trust since its inception. Mr Benge is the CEO of Arts Access Aotearoa.

Trust Historian, Anthony Dreaver will replace Richard Benge as Deputy Chair; Executive/Secretary Allison (Allie) Webber will remain in the role, as will Treasurer, Sue Harris.

Allie Webber says, Jenny Rowan has been an excellent and visionary leader for the Trust and will be greatly missed.

“Jenny helped us create real momentum around our work, helped us forge a number of significant stakeholder relationships and made sure we were a little Trust that “punched well above our weight,” she said.

Jenny Rowan will continue her association as a Life Member of the Trust. She continues to exercise her considerable leadership skills as Chair of the Wellington Conservation Board.
