Marines Ball Game: 25,000 Wellingtonians pack into Athletic Park to see US Marine Corp 'Leathernecks' play a game of baseball. 01.55 Present from New York: Prime Minister Peter Fraser receives an ambulance sent from New York in memory of a Dunedin flying officer killed in action. The ambulance has been donated to the RNZAF.

Troops Entertain Their Day: Sons of soldiers are the guests of soldiers at a New Zealand camp and are treated with a display of the weapons their fathers are fighting with. The boys clamber all over and through tanks and fire machine guns. At another camp, where US Marines are stationed, young Kiwi lads have 'chow' with the troops and enjoy a musical group. 04.05 Pacific War Fighter Pilots: Back for a rest after a month's combat flying in the Solomon’s, are members of a New Zealand fighter squadron. The men talk about the 22 Japanese Zeros they have shot down in their last tour of duty.
