 Queen Elizabeth Park (Camp Russell)

Time:

 9.45am for 10am start – Finish at 1pm

Format:

 Formal/Uniforms if appropriate/warm.

Open to:

Veterans & Families, National & Local politicians, NZ Armed Forces, Special Guests, Iwi (Maori Tribal representatives), local schools, members of the public.

Cost:

 Free

Guest Speaker:

Sir Jerry Mateparae (Governor General)

Special Features:

Powhiri (formal Maori welcome), Flag Raising, Speeches, Unveiling of 70th Anniversary Memorial, Wreath Laying, Tree planting.

Entertainment:

The NZ Airforce Band with baritone Zane Te Wiremu Jarvis.

Hospitality:

Refreshments provided

Special Help:

Volunteers available to help visiting veterans and their families, elderly or disabled visitors.

Old St Paul’s was the Marines church in Wellington during World War II.
Service organised by the New Zealand American Association in conjunction with
The Friends of Old St Pauls.
